The Monroe County Business Alliance
Who We Are
Our HistoryFor years, the Monroe County Business Development Corporation and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce engaged in periodic discussions about how the two organizations might collaborate more closely to enhance efficiency and long-term sustainability. These conversations extended beyond administrative streamlining and cost savings, they also explored how a unified organization could serve as a central hub for all business development efforts in our community. In late 2020, these discussions gained renewed momentum, and a dedicated working group was formed, comprising the Executive Committees of both organizations, along with key stakeholders from local businesses, the County of Monroe, and its Board of Commissioners. Through thoughtful dialogue, strategic planning, and a shared vision for Monroe County’s economic future, the concept for a new organization emerged. The result was the formation of the Monroe County Business Alliance, which officially began operations on January 1, 2023, ushering in a new era of collaboration, innovation, and unified support for the local business community. |
