Organization Overview
Gabby’s Grief Center believes no one should journey grief alone.
For more than 25 years, Gabby’s Grief Center has walked alongside children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate life after the death of someone significant. Serving Southeast Michigan, we provide compassionate, accessible grief support, education, and connection in a safe, judgment-free environment where every grief story is honored.
We recognize that grief does not exist in isolation. It can affect emotional and physical health, relationships, learning, work, family systems, and a person’s sense of belonging and hope. That is why our work extends beyond the walls of our center and into schools, workplaces, community organizations, and neighborhoods, meeting people where grief happens.
Through peer support, youth and family programming, school-based services, community education, remembrance opportunities, and specialized grief programs, we help individuals understand their grief, develop healthy ways to navigate it, and remain connected to a community that cares.
At Gabby’s, we do not seek to “fix” grief or ask people to move on from those they love. We create space to remember, to connect, to grow around grief, and to discover that hope and grief can coexist.
Our vision is a community where grief is understood, support is accessible, and no one grieves alone.
